Recall
Notes you keep. Cards you remember.
Get Recall on your phone
Recall installs straight from your browser — there is no app store, nothing to download, and no separate account. You get a Home Screen icon, a full screen without the browser's address bar, and a reminder that reaches you with the app closed.
Android Your device
In Chrome or Edge:
- Tap the ⋮ menu, top right.
- Choose Add to Home screen, or Install app.
- Confirm with Install.
Firefox and Samsung Internet can do this too — the menu item is Install or Add page to.
iPhone and iPad Your device
In Safari — this does not work in Chrome or Firefox:
- Tap Share — the square with an arrow out of it, at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll the list and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add, top right.
- Open Recall from the new icon, and sign in once more.
Windows, Mac and Linux Your device
In Chrome or Edge:
- Look for the install icon at the right-hand end of the address bar — a screen with an arrow pointing into it.
- Or open the ⋮ menu and choose Install Recall, sometimes under Cast, save and share.
Safari on a Mac: File → Add to Dock. Firefox on the desktop cannot install web apps.
What changes once it is installed
- It opens like an app. Its own icon, its own window, no address bar.
- Reminders can reach you. On iPhone this is the only way; elsewhere it means the reminder arrives whether or not a tab is open.
- It works with no signal. The cards due for you are kept on the phone, and answers you give offline are sent the moment you are back. How offline works →
Taking it off again
Press and hold the icon and remove it, the same as any other app. Nothing is deleted: your notes, cards and schedule live on the server, and the site keeps working in a normal browser tab exactly as it did before.
